Hair Care Products

Happy New Year!  May 2011 be the year that your hair, heels, and hearts work together to help you realize your full potential.  Hair will be the discussion topic this week.  Throughout the year, there will be a rotation between hair, heels, and hearts to illustrate how you can move forward toward success.

Your hair covers your head.  It could be a considered a protector of your thoughts and dreams.  Likewise, the products that you use to care for your hair are representative of what is needed to nurture and strengthen your creative process.  Shampoo, conditioner, and holding spray are common products used for hair care.   As you use them on a regular basis literally, think of how you can also benefit from them figuratively.

Shampoo is used to cleanse the dirt and oil from your hair.  It helps restore body (bounce) and volume (lift).  What serves the same purpose for your great ideas?  Maybe you can wash them with show and tell.   Exposure to the lather of trial and error will help you narrow your focus.  Only share those things that are complete and ready for scrutiny.  Also, choose your audience carefully.  You want people who will objectively help you, not personally hinder you.  They can help you rebound from failure and encourage you to keep going.

Conditioner is used to strengthen your hair.  While it is important to maintain and enhance what is on your head, you must also nurture what is in your head.  Studying conditions your mind and increases your knowledge on any designated topic.  Take adequate time to do the required homework to increase your comfort level and competency in your desired field.  Give yourself quizzes to make sure you are able to apply what you are learning.  If you can't explain it to someone else, you may need to work on your comprehension of it.

Holding spray keeps your hair in place.  It prevents the wind from disturbing the style that you have selected.   A calendar or planner is a great tool to help you stay on track and not get blown off course by unexpected breezes (detours).  Sticking to a schedule sounds good in theory.  It works even better in practice.  Time is a precious commodity.  If managed correctly, it can be a huge asset for you.  Be realistic when drafting your schedule and allow room for some flexibility.  Your ability to adjust to shifting priorities will influence the amount of confidence that others have in you.

What hair care products will you use this week?  Leave a comment and share how they will help you in the new year.

  1. After reading this I know I will be in need of all these hair care products. The shampoo and conditioner will prove to be beneficial the next few months but the hair spray I will need all year long.

  3. I am a Pantene kind of girl... I often wondered how I can get that kind of hair. My hair stylist said,” When you use the same product regularly as directed you get the desired results”! That's what I'm looking for in this season, desired results! So if utilizing my calendar/planner “holds” the key to positive results I will use as regularly as directed. WMG…ImagineMe43
